Modestman Brewing LLC Run Come Save Me
This Hazy IPA pours with a vibrant, opaque glow, immediately releasing an intense bouquet driven by Citra and Idaho 7 hops. Citra provides a sharp, sun-ripened grapefruit and lychee core, while Idaho 7 adds layers of resinous pine, bruised stone fruit, and a hint of zesty black tea. On the palate, the experience is creamy and pillowy, featuring a soft bitterness that allows the tropical fruit flavors to dominate. A light, grainy malt backbone supports the massive hop saturation, leading to a smooth, juicy finish with very subtle alcohol warmth that remains perfectly integrated and highly drinkable.
Appearance. Straw to deep golden (4-6 SRM); hazy to opaque with a soft shimmer; thick, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and sticky lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of mango, tangerine, and grapefruit from Citra, accented by Idaho 7’s contribution of apricot and a whisper of resinous pine; background malt is lightly bready and grainy; clean fermentation with mild fruity esters.
Taste. Initial burst of tropical juice followed by flavors of grapefruit pith, peach, and resin; malt flavor is low and supportive with a cereal-like character; bitterness is moderate but perceived as soft and rounded due to the full body; finishes juicy and off-dry with a lingering fruit-skin character and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture; medium carbonation; smooth and creamy mouthfeel without astringency or raw starch texture; light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
