This vibrant Fruit Beer, built upon a Hazy Double IPA base, delivers a saturated sensory experience. The aroma is a bold collision of jammy blackberry and succulent peach, harmonizing with tropical hop notes of mango and citrus. On the palate, the tartness of the berries provides a refreshing counterpoint to the creamy, doughy malt profile characteristic of the style. At 8% ABV, a well-integrated warmth supports the dense fruit character without overpowering the delicate stone fruit nuances. The result is a lush, full-bodied ale that balances the intense fruit additions with a soft, low bitterness and a lingering, pulpy finish.
Appearance. Deep golden to pale amber with a distinct pinkish-purple hue from the berries (SRM 7-10). Opaque and hazy with a thick, rocky, light-pink head that shows excellent retention and dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity; dominant notes of fresh peach flesh and blackberry preserves. Supported by tropical hop aromas and a faint, sweet, bread-like malt character. Clean fermentation with moderate fruity esters that complement the adjuncts.
Taste. Initial burst of tart blackberry and sweet peach, followed by a soft, wheaty malt flavor. Hop bitterness is low to moderate, allowing the fruit to lead. The finish is off-dry and jammy, with a clean fruit tartness that prevents the higher alcohol from feeling heavy or cloying.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a pillowy, creamy texture. Moderate carbonation and a noticeable, smooth alcohol warmth. Very low astringency despite the heavy fruit addition.
