Franz Kawka is a sophisticated marriage of a robust Baltic Porter base and aromatic coffee. The nose is greeted by intense notes of freshly roasted coffee beans that intertwine with a rich malt profile of dark caramel, molasses, and toasted bread. The palate offers a luxurious, full-bodied texture delivering flavors of bittersweet chocolate and dark dried fruits like plums and raisins. A gentle alcohol warmth from its 9% ABV supports the lingering finish of earthy coffee and smooth cocoa. This 21 Plato brew perfectly balances the deep, roasty bitterness of the coffee beans against a sturdy, malty sweetness, creating a complex and warming sensory experience.

Appearance. Deep brown to opaque black (SRM 35-40). Thick, persistent tan head with creamy lacing and excellent retention.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant freshly ground coffee aroma with espresso-like depth. Underlying base malt brings rich caramel, dark bread crust, and hints of molasses. Subtle dark fruit esters reminiscent of dried cherries or prunes. Low spicy hop aroma. Clean fermentation profile.
