This vibrant Gose offers a contemporary twist on the historical style, featuring a bold infusion of Blood Orange. The sensory profile is defined by a refreshing lactic tartness that interplays with the juicy, berry-like citrus notes of the fruit. A base of doughy wheat malt provides a soft foundation, while the traditional addition of coriander adds a floral, spicy lift. The signature saline touch enhances the mouthfeel, creating a mouthwatering effect that leads to a crisp, effervescent finish. At 5.7% ABV, it presents a slightly fuller body than traditional examples while maintaining exceptional drinkability and a bright, zesty character.
Appearance. Deep orange with a salmon-pink hue (SRM 7–10) and a moderate to full haze. Tall, off-white to pale pink head with tight bubbles and good retention; highly effervescent.
Aroma. High intensity featuring prominent Blood Orange zest and juice, providing bright citrus and red berry notes. Clean lactic tartness is noticeable, supported by a floral, lemony coriander character and low bready wheat malt. No hop aroma.
Taste. Initial refreshing lactic sourness balanced by the juicy, sweet-tart flavor of Blood Orange. Moderate doughy malt provides a soft mid-palate, while a light salty character enhances the citrus without being overtly briny. Floral coriander appears toward the finish. Very low bitterness; acidity provides the primary balance against the malt. Finishes dry and clean with a lingering citrus zest.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a round, mouthwatering quality attributed to the salt. High carbonation creates a lively, effervescent sensation. Very light alcohol warmth is well-integrated; no astringency.
