Boh 15 is a vibrant Macedonia Wheat Ale that reimagines the classic Weissbier framework through a summery fruit infusion. Massive additions of melon, watermelon, and peach drive a lush, juicy profile, while lemon juice and lemon zest provide a bright, citrusy edge that enhances the beer’s inherent freshness. Built on a base of malted wheat and Pilsner malt, it maintains a characteristic bready, doughy core. The experience is incredibly smooth and drinkable, leading into a crisp, dry finish. It trades heavy phenols for a kaleidoscopic fruit character, offering a refreshing, macedonia-like bouquet that remains balanced and thirst-quenching.
Appearance. 2–4 SRM. Pale straw to light gold. Pours with a thick, moussy, and persistent white head. Hazy appearance with a luminous shine from the high wheat content and fruit particulates.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Dominated by a fresh fruit medley of sweet melon, succulent peach, and watery watermelon. Bright citrus accents of lemon zest and juice provide a zesty lift. In the background, soft bready and doughy wheat notes provide a solid malt foundation. Typical banana and clove esters are subtle, overtaken by the massive fruit additions. No hop aroma.
Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of fresh fruit, led by melon and peach with a refreshing watermelon mid-palette. The lemon juice adds a light, tangy acidity that balances the soft, bready, and grainy-sweet wheat malt flavor. Bitterness is very low, allowing the fruit character to shine. The finish is remarkably dry and clean, with a lingering citrus zest and fruit-skin aftertaste. High complexity and drinkability.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a fluffy, creamy fullness that never feels heavy. Very high carbonation creates a spritzy, effervescent mouthfeel. Minimal alcohol warmth. No astringency.
