This Hazy IPA from Missing Link Brewing serves as a vibrant showcase for the Mosaic hop, delivering an intense, juicy sensory experience. The aroma is immediately fragrant, bursting with the variety’s signature notes of ripe blueberries and lush mango. As the beer opens up, layers of tropical guava and papaya emerge, anchored by delicate floral blossoms and a subtle, grounding earthiness. Appearance. Straw to light amber (4 SRM). Distinctly hazy, nearly opaque with a luminous shine. Topped with a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and substantial lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by hop esters featuring prominent blueberry, tropical mango, and guava. Secondary notes of papaya and light floral blossoms are present, supported by a clean, neutral, grainy malt character. No detectable diacetyl or fermentation flaws.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma, with rich blueberry and tropical stone fruit. Low to medium-high perceived bitterness that feels smooth rather than sharp. Malt provides a light bready base. Finish is off-dry and juicy with a lingering fruity aftertaste and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, smooth texture. Moderate carbonation creates a gentle sparkle. Very light alcohol warmth. Free of astringency or raw starchiness.
