Nuclear Hop Assault is an assertive Double IPA that lives up to its name with a vibrant sensory explosion. The pour reveals a bright orange hue with an enduring head. A complex aromatic profile led by citrus, peach, and fresh-cut grass emerges from the use of aggressive hybrid hops. On the palate, intense flavors of lemon and grapefruit peel dominate, sharpened by a high yet clean bitterness. While sweet caramel malt notes provide a necessary foundation, they never overshadow the hop-forward character. This beer finishes crisp and dry, leaving a lingering resinous trail and a smooth, well-integrated alcohol warmth that enhances its bold, heavy-hitting profile.

Appearance. Orange to light copper (approx. 10-12 SRM) with excellent clarity and brightness. Topped with a persistent, off-white, moderate-sized head that leaves consistent lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a complex blend of grapefruit, lemon, and orange citrus, accented by stone fruit notes of peach and an herbal touch of fresh-cut grass. The malt presence is moderate, providing a clean backbone of grain and light caramel. Esters are low and clean.

Taste. The initial impression is an explosion of citrus peel, specifically lemon and grapefruit, supported by a firm but non-harsh hop bitterness. The malt flavor is supportive and clean, offering subtle caramel sweetness that rounds out the mid-palate without becoming heavy. The fermentation profile is neutral, leading into a very dry, crisp finish with a long-lingering hoppy and bitter aftertaste.
