This British Strong Ale presents a sophisticated fusion of deep malt complexity and refined barrel character. Having matured for eight months in Oloroso Sherry casks, the profile is defined by a deep interplay of rich toffee, toasted walnuts, and elegant oxidation. The base beer provides a sturdy foundation of dried dark fruits like raisins and plums, which is elevated by the vinous, woody depth of the sherry-soaked oak. A gentle alcohol warmth integrates seamlessly with the chewy body, while subtle earthy hop notes provide a balanced counterpoint to the lingering, malt-forward finish. Appearance. Deep reddish-brown with mahogany highlights; clear to the eye. Pours with a moderate, light tan head that shows fair retention and leaves light lacing.
