Despite its 9.5% ABV, it maintains a graceful, mellow mouthfeel with a fine acidity that balances the suave fruitiness. Pilsner malt provides a neutral, grainy backbone, allowing the complex interaction of floral hops and tart berries to shine before finishing remarkably dry and crisp.
Appearance. Deep gold with a vibrant rose-pink hue; brilliant clarity. Generous, dense, off-white to pale pink head with exceptional retention and intricate Belgian lacing.
Aroma. High intensity bouquet of fresh raspberries and white grape must. Sophisticated layers of pear and green apple esters merge with spicy, peppery phenols. Moderate herbal hop notes and a subtle, buttery oak character from Chardonnay barrel aging, backed by a soft, perfumy alcohol presence.
Taste. Initial burst of tart raspberry and stone fruit, followed by a crisp, grainy Pilsner malt sweetness. The mid-palate reveals white wine tannins and a delicate acidity. Bitterness is moderate but firm, harmonizing with herbal hop flavors and peppery alcohol. Finishes bone-dry with a lingering vinous and berry aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a high, effervescent carbonation that creates a prickly yet creamy texture. Noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth. A refreshing, fine acidity from the fruit additions enhances the dry finish.
