This vibrant Specialty IPA features the legendary fruitiness of Belgian yeast, elevated by an intensive addition of pink grapefruit coulis. The grain bill, featuring blé and avoine malté, provides a soft, creamy foundation and a hazy appearance, while the inclusion of rouge malté adds a subtle complexity to the malt backbone. High-intensity citrus and tropical hop aromatics harmonize with the bright, pithy character of the grapefruit. On the palate, a moderate bitterness is balanced by a bready cereal sweetness, finishing crisp and dry. It is a refreshing, ester-forward ale that highlights the synergy between juicy hops and authentic fruit infusion.
Appearance.Straw to deep gold (4–7 SRM). Hazy to opaque clarity due to the high protein content of the wheat and oats. Produces a large, persistent white head with dense, creamy lacing.
Aroma.High intensity. Prominent fresh pink grapefruit zest and pulp dominant, followed by tropical mango and citrusy hop notes. Distinctive Belgian yeast esters offer pear and apricot notes, accompanied by a light peppery phenol. Low doughy and bready malt character.
Taste.Immediate burst of tart grapefruit and citrus oil. Medium-high hop bitterness, reminiscent of fruit pith, is supported by a soft bready malt flavor from the oats and wheat. Fermentation character is complex, featuring fruity esters and a subtle spicy finish. Finishes very dry and crisp with a lingering citrus zest aftertaste.
Mouthfeel.Medium-light body with a smooth, creamy texture. High carbonation provides a lively, effervescent mouthfeel. Very low alcohol warmth; clean and highly refreshing.
