Lasabeva is a robust Australian Sparkling Ale that presents a deep golden hue and high effervescence. At 6% ABV, this expression leans into a fuller sensory profile than typical sessionable examples. The aroma is defined by an intense interplay of floral and fruity hop notes, supported by the style's characteristic pome fruit esters—reminiscent of fresh pear and green apple. On the palate, a clean, grainy malt sweetness is met by a decisive, lingering bitterness. This crisp, highly attenuated finish ensures high drinkability, while the carbonation provides a spritzy, mouth-filling bite against a medium-full body, creating a refreshing yet substantial experience.
Appearance. Deep yellow to medium gold (6 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a tall, frothy, persistent white head with fine bubbles and excellent lacing. Highly effervescent.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity hop character featuring floral and fruity notes. Balanced by moderate pome fruit esters like pear and apple. The malt presents as clean, grainy, and lightly bready with no caramel presence. A very faint, clean mineral note is perceptible.
Taste. Initial impression is a rounded, grainy malt sweetness that is quickly overtaken by a medium-high, firm bitterness. Hop flavors are floral and fruity with a subtle herbal undercurrent.
