Calypso presents as a sophisticated Munich Helles, centered on the delicate harmony between premium barley malt and the noble character of Saaz hops. This bottom-fermented lager exhibits a soft, grainy-sweet malt fragrance that transitions into a rounded palate of doughy, pale malt flavors. The use of Saaz as a single hop imparts a subtle, herbaceous spice and a low, supportive bitterness that preserves the malt-forward balance. Exceptionally clean and well-lagered, it concludes with a soft, dry finish and a gentle aftertaste. The result is a highly refreshing, elegant beer that celebrates traditional continental ingredients with finesse.
Appearance. Pale yellow to pale gold (3–5 SRM). Brilliant clarity. Persistent, creamy white head with good lacing.
