Method Brewing’s West Coast IPA delivers a robust, classic sensory experience defined by a deliberate balance between aggressive hopping and a sturdy malt backbone. This American IPA pours a distinctive deep copper, signaling the presence of generous crystal malt that provides a rich, toasty foundation for the lupulin-heavy profile. The aroma is dominated by high-intensity notes of resinous pine and bright citrus, followed by a subtle tropical undertone from late-kettle additions. On the palate, a firm, assertive bitterness slices through initial caramel sweetness, finishing clean and dry with a lingering hop resin character. It is a bold, well-structured interpretation of the style.
Appearance. Deep copper to reddish-amber (12–14 SRM); brilliant clarity; medium-sized, off-white head with excellent persistence and dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent resinous pine and grapefruit-like citrus, with a subtle background of tropical fruit. Supporting malt is moderate, expressing notes of caramel and toasted bread. Clean fermentation profile with no noticeable esters.
