Metalhead Nosegrind presents a unique sensory juxtaposition, merging the sharp, lactic bite of a Straight Sour Beer with the earthy complexity of Lot61 cold brew coffee. Despite its potent 9% ABV, the profile remains refreshing yet robust. The initial impact is a bright, lemony acidity that quickly intertwines with roasted coffee notes of dark chocolate and toasted hazelnuts. Pale malts provide a subtle biscuity backbone, preventing the acidity from becoming biting. The finish is strikingly clean and off-dry, where the coffee’s berry-like fruitiness lingers alongside a moderate warming sensation. It is a sophisticated, high-gravity sour that balances bean-derived bitterness with citrusy tartness.

Appearance. Deep gold to light copper (8–14 SRM) due to coffee infusion; clarity ranges from clear to slightly hazy. Large, off-white head with relatively poor retention and minimal lacing.

Aroma. High intensity featuring a dominant, sharply sour lactic character. Distinctive cold brew coffee notes of roasted beans and cocoa powder are present, alongside moderate fruity esters of lemon and tart apple. Low biscuity malt aroma; no hop character.
