Ce Long Couloir is a quintessential Hazy IPA that pours with a signature luminous opacity. The hop profile is a masterclass in fruit complexity, featuring the tropical punch of Azacca and El Dorado, which layer vibrant pineapple and mango over the distinctive honeydew and strawberry notes of Huell Melon. Simcoe provides a subtle depth of passion fruit and a fleeting piney resin for balance. The palate is exceptionally soft and juicy, supported by a grainy, bready malt backbone that stays in the background, allowing the hop-driven stone fruit and citrus to shine before a smooth, low-bitterness finish.
Appearance. Hazy, opaque pale gold (4 SRM) with a luminous shine. Pours with a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head that demonstrates excellent retention and leaves thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop bouquet dominated by tropical notes of ripe mango and pineapple. Distinctive aromas of honeydew melon and sweet strawberry emerge, supported by a hint of passion fruit and citrus. Clean, bready, and lightly grainy malt sits in the background.
Taste. Explodes with fruity hop flavors; lush pineapple, apricot, and melon are prominent. A light touch of grapefruit zest and resin provides depth. Malt flavor is low, providing a neutral, doughy base. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as soft and well-integrated. The finish is off-dry and exceptionally smooth, with a lingering tropical aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate. There is no hop harshness or astringency, and the alcohol provides a very faint, well-concealed warmth.
