Expect a deep, dark base of roasted malts providing notes of bittersweet chocolate and espresso, which balance the spirituous warmth. A robust malt backbone of dark chocolate, black licorice, and roasted grain provides a sturdy counterpoint. The mid-palate reveals spirit character and toasted oak. Bitterness is moderate but balanced by high residual sweetness and adjunct density. The finish is long and warming with lingering cocoa.
Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied, thick, and chewy with a velvety, luscious, and creamy texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. Noticeable but smooth and well-integrated alcohol warmth reflects the high ABV without being harsh or solventy.
