This Double IPA is an olfactory powerhouse, driven by a massive infusion of Riwaka and Riwaka Hop Kief. The sensory profile erupts with pungent passionfruit, zesty grapefruit, and the signature 'diesel' dankness unique to the New Zealand hop variety. A lean, neutral malt presence keeps the focus entirely on the lupulin saturation, providing just enough structure to balance the assertive bitterness. Despite its 8.5% strength, the beer remains remarkably crisp, finishing with a lingering resinous snap and tropical brightness. It is a masterclass in hop intensity, offering a clean, high-impact experience that highlights modern extraction techniques.

Appearance. Pale gold to light amber (6-8 SRM) with a dense, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing. Brilliantly clear to slightly hazy, consistent with modern high-hop loading.

Aroma. High intensity. Explosive notes of tropical passionfruit and ripe citrus dominate, followed by a distinct diesel-like dankness and fresh peppercorn characteristic of Riwaka. Very low, clean, grainy-sweet malt in the background; neutral fermentation profile.

Taste. Immediate impact of tropical fruit and resinous pine. Mid-palate reveals grapefruit pith and a subtle, crackery malt support. High bitterness that is assertive but smooth, never harsh. Finishes dry and clean with a long, lingering hop-derived dankness and citrus peel aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily hop texture from the Hop Kief. Moderate-high carbonation provides a crisp bite. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth without harshness.
