This decadent Imperial Stout, a collaboration between Merakai Brewing and Three Hills Brewing, delivers an indulgent sensory experience inspired by a classic Italian affogato. A viscous, jet-black pour yields intense aromas of Brazilian Coffee and toasted coconut, layered with the sweet complexity of honeycomb and vanilla paste. The palate is exceptionally thick and rich, showcasing deep waves of milk and dark chocolate driven by cocoa nibs, balanced by a firm yet smooth bitterness from Magnum hops. Subtle dark fruit esters peek through the sweetness, finishing with a lingering, velvety warmth and a final kiss of caramelized honey.

Appearance. SRM 40+. Jet black and opaque. Small, dense, dark tan head with moderate retention. Pronounced legs and high viscosity visible upon swirling the glass.

Aroma. High intensity with a complex blend of freshly roasted Brazilian Coffee, toasted coconut, and sweet vanilla paste. Strong cocoa and dark chocolate notes from cocoa nibs are supported by subtle dark fruit esters of plum and raisin. Noticeable but smooth alcohol presence.

Taste. Indulgent and layered; initial impressions of honeycomb sweetness and milk chocolate transition into deep roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Magnum hops provide a moderate bitterness that balances the high residual sweetness. Mid-palate features toasted coconut and vanilla. The finish is lingering, bittersweet, and roasty.

Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied, chewy, and viscous with a velvety, luscious texture. Moderate-low carbonation. Pronounced yet smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated into the rich body.
