This American IPA, a collaborative project rooted in the coastal town of Cangas, delivers a bright and assertive sensory experience. The nose is greeted by a high intensity of resinous pine and sharp citrus zest, characteristic of New World hops, while a background of clean, grainy malt provides a subtle foundation. On the palate, a firm bitterness takes center stage, complemented by flavors of grapefruit and a hint of tropical fruit. The finish is decidedly dry and crisp, allowing the lingering hop character to shine. With a medium body and smooth texture, it represents a well-executed balance of hop-forward intensity and drinkability.
Appearance.Medium gold to light reddish-amber (approx. 8-12 SRM). Features a medium-sized, white to off-white head with good persistence and light lacing. Generally clear, though a very faint hop haze is acceptable.
Aroma.Prominent to intense hop aroma with notes of citrus, pine, and resin. Low to medium-low clean, grainy maltiness supports the hop presentation. Fermentation profile is clean with only a very light background of fruity esters.
Taste.Initial impression is hop-forward with flavors of citrus and pine. Low to medium-low grainy maltiness provides a supporting role with light toasted notes. Medium-high to high bitterness is present throughout. Finishes dry to medium-dry with a lingering hoppy, bitter aftertaste and clean fermentation character.
Mouthfeel.Medium-light to medium body with a smooth texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp sensation. Alcohol presence is well-integrated with a very light, smooth warmth at 6.5% ABV. No harshness or astringency.
