Menduiña Duir presents as a robust Strong Bitter with a striking vermillion hue that evokes its Celtic namesake, the oak tree. The experience begins with a dense, creamy head releasing aromas of toasty malt and subtle caramel, underpinned by earthy and floral aromatic hops. On the palate, a welcoming initial sweetness of bready malts is quickly countered by a firm, refreshing bitterness. Nuances of toasted nuts emerge mid-sip, leading toward a notably dry and crisp toasted finish. Appearance. Seductive vermillion to deep copper color (SRM 14-16). Features a dense, creamy, off-white crown of foam with excellent persistence and light lacing. Generally clear with a brilliant reddish glow when held to light.

Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring a complex malt profile of toasted bread, light caramel, and a hint of biscuit. The hop character is moderately low with floral and earthy notes. Clean fermentation profile with very subtle fruity esters.

Taste. Initial impression of sweet, bready malt and caramel richness. This is immediately balanced by a moderate hop bitterness and floral hop flavors. The mid-palate reveals nutty and toasted grain complexities. Finishes dry and clean with a lingering toasted malt aftertaste and a firm but smooth bitterness.
