Appearance. Jet black color (35-40 SRM) and opaque. Features a large, persistent light tan head with fine lacing and good retention.
Aroma. Moderate intensity roast-forward bouquet featuring distinct notes of dark chocolate and espresso. A low citrusy and resiny hop character provides a subtle brightness, complemented by faint fruity esters and a clean, grain-derived sweetness from the English malts.
Taste. Initial impression of roasted coffee and dark cacao. Low to medium malt sweetness provides a foundation of rich chocolate and caramel.
