Menaud Clayton is a refined German Pils that elevates the traditional profile with a botanical twist. It pours a brilliant, pale gold with a persistent white head. The aroma is a sophisticated interplay of noble-style hop spiciness and the unique herbaceous signature of Clayton root, evoking subtle notes of boreal anise and fresh melon. On the palate, a clean, grainy malt base of toasted cracker provides a foundation for firm bitterness. The addition of Clayton root adds a delicate, cool herbal layer that complements the crisp, dry finish, resulting in a highly refreshing and complex lager.

Appearance. Brilliant straw to light gold. Features a dense, creamy, long-lasting white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Dominated by a unique herbal hop character and Clayton root, presenting distinct notes of boreal anise and sweet melon. Supported by a low, clean malt profile of doughy bread and light toasted cracker. Fermentation is exceptionally clean.

Taste. Initial clean, grainy malt sweetness is quickly overtaken by firm hop bitterness. Flavors of spicy, herbal hops are layered with the cooling, herbaceous essence of Clayton root and a hint of honeydew melon. The finish is very dry and crisp, with a lingering minerality and a persistent, smooth bitterness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that provides a prickly, refreshing sensation. No alcohol warmth is perceived. The finish is crisp and clean without any astringency.
