Melvin Brewing Pilsgnar

Pilsner 4.8 º 45 IBU
Melvin Brewing’s Pilsgnar captures the 'liquid sunshine' of a classic German Pils with a crisp, mountain-air clarity. The sensory experience opens with a vibrant, moderately high aroma of floral and spicy noble hops, underpinned by the delicate scent of toasted crackers and a hint of honeyed Pilsner malt. On the palate, a light, grainy sweetness is immediately superseded by a firm, clean bitterness that defines the style. Its finish is remarkably dry and effervescent, leaving a refreshing, lingering herbal hop note. This brilliantly clear, straw-colored lager offers a sharp, minerally snap, making it a quintessential companion for rugged outdoor adventures.
Appearance. Straw to pale yellow (SRM 2-3); brilliant clarity with a creamy, long-lasting, bright white head that leaves delicate lacing.
Aroma. Moderately high hop intensity featuring floral, spicy, and herbal notes. Secondary notes of low grainy-sweet malt, reminiscent of fresh crackers and a touch of honey. Clean fermentation profile with no esters.
Taste. Initial light grainy malt flavor quickly overtaken by a medium-high hop bitterness. Flavors of dried herbs and floral spice predominate. The balance is decidedly bitter, leading into a crisp, very dry finish with a lingering, clean hop aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation providing a refreshing, effervescent sting. Very crisp with a slight minerally sharpness and no perceived alcohol warmth.
