This refreshing American Lager offers a refined twist on the classic style, elevated by the addition of Citra hops during cold conditioning. The clean, neutral malt profile provides a crisp, light-straw canvas for a delicate infusion of tropical fruit and citrus zest. While remaining highly drinkable and well-attenuated, the second maturation phase introduces a distinctively bright, modern aromatic layer that distinguishes it from more traditional examples. Effervescent and brilliant, it balances a subtle grainy sweetness with a mild bitterness, finishing exceptionally clean with a lingering hint of lemon peel and grapefruit typical of its signature hop profile.
Appearance. Very pale straw color (2-3 SRM). Topped with a white, frothy head that displays moderate retention. Brilliant clarity.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a clean fermentation profile. Low grainy, sweet malt aroma provides a base for prominent hop-derived notes of citrus, lime, and a hint of tropical fruit from the Citra dry-hopping.
Taste. Initial impression is crisp and neutral with a low grainy malt flavor. The hop flavor is moderate, showcasing bright lemon and grapefruit notes. Low to medium-low bitterness (~15 IBU) provides balance without lingering. Finishes very dry and clean with a short, refreshing aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Light to medium-light body with high carbonation that creates a refreshing carbonic bite on the tongue. Smooth with no alcohol warmth or astringency.
