Medina Saison de Otoño

Saison 6.2 º 30 IBU
This Saison de Otoño captures the transition of seasons with a vibrant yet rustic sensory profile. Pouring a deep orange hue with a persistent ivory head, it offers an aromatic bouquet of spicy black pepper and ripe pome fruits, notably pear and red apple. The malt presence is slightly more pronounced than a summer version, providing a toasted, grainy foundation that supports a firm bitterness. A highly attenuated fermentation ensures a bone-dry finish, typical of the style, while the 6.2% ABV adds a gentle, integrated warmth. Effervescent and complex, it balances earthy hop notes with a sharp, peppery carbonation bite.
Appearance. Color is deep orange to light amber (10–14 SRM). Head is dense, rocky, and ivory in color with excellent retention and Belgian lace. Clarity is hazy due to being unfiltered, with high effervescence.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Fruity esters of pear and citrus are prominent, paired with spicy black pepper phenols. The malt is lightly grainy and toasty, while hops contribute a low earthy and floral character.
Taste. Initial soft, grainy malt flavor transitions into moderate bitterness and spicy yeast notes. Hop flavor is low and earthy. The finish is very dry and refreshing with a lingering peppery aftertaste and no residual sweetness.
Mouthfeel. Body is medium-light. Carbonation is very high and effervescent. A light alcohol warmth is detectable but smooth, and there is no astringency.
