This Experimental Mead offers a decadent sensory journey, blending tropical vibrancy with savory richness. The aroma is dominated by lush, sun-ripened mango and floral honey, underpinned by the distinct, earthy scent of roasted peanuts. On the palate, the experience is transformative; an initial burst of sweet mango nectar gives way to a creamy, nut-butter mid-palate. Bourbon barrel aging contributes sophisticated layers of toasted oak, vanilla, and a gentle spirituous warmth that rounds out the honeyed base. The finish is remarkably long, balancing the tartness of the fruit with the oily depth of the peanuts and a hint of charred wood.

Appearance. Deep gold to burnished amber with a slight haze from mango solids and peanut oils; still to petillant with no head formation and heavy, slow-moving legs indicating high viscosity.

Aroma. High intensity; dominant fresh mango pulp and wildflower honey sweetness. Secondary notes of roasted peanut shells and nut butter are prominent. The bourbon barrel influence adds vanilla, caramel, and a light coconut-oak presence.

Taste. Intense honey and mango sweetness on the entry, followed by a savory, salty peanut character that provides a PB&J-like complexity. Bourbon-derived tannins and oak spice provide structure. The finish is sweet and lingering, with a moderate acidity from the fruit to prevent cloying, alongside a persistent nutty aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and viscous with a coating, syrupy texture. Carbonation is negligible to very low. A significant, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, accompanied by a light tannic astringency from the oak barrels.
