McLeod's Brewery 802 #58 Fresh Hop Unfiltered IPA is a vibrant celebration of the New Zealand harvest, showcasing fresh-off-the-bine Nelson Sauvin hops from Clayton Hops. This Hazy IPA pours with a luminous, opaque glow, releasing an intense bouquet of crushed gooseberries, white wine grapes, and tropical passionfruit. The addition of undried, resinous hop cones imparts a distinctively oily, green vitality that harmonizes with the soft, bready malt base. On the palate, the signature Nelson Sauvin character delivers waves of juicy stone fruit and a subtle, dank resinous depth. A silky mouthfeel and restrained bitterness ensure the fresh hop aromatics remain the primary focus, leading to a plush, tropical finish.
