This Hazy IPA presents a vibrant sensory profile defined by the innovative pairing of Talus and Nelson Sauvin hops. On the nose, Talus contributes a distinctive aromatic blend of herbal sage and zesty white grapefruit. This is complemented by the unmistakable character of Nelson Sauvin, which introduces bright green citrus and deep, dank gooseberry notes. The palate is exceptionally soft and plush, allowing these intense hop flavors to shine against a subtle, bready malt backdrop. With its low bitterness and fruit-forward intensity, this unfiltered ale delivers a complex yet highly drinkable experience, finishing with a smooth, lingering tropical resonance.
Appearance. Straw to light orange (4-6 SRM) with a characteristic hazy, opaque shine. Topped by a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring white grapefruit, gooseberry, and tropical fruit. Notable herbal sage and dank, grassy undertones from the Nelson Sauvin. Background of clean, neutral, bready malt; low fruity fermentation esters.
Taste. High hop flavor of citrus, passionfruit-like gooseberry, and a touch of herbal complexity. Low to medium-low perceived bitterness that is very smooth. Malt flavor is low and grainy-sweet, supporting the hops. Finishes off-dry and clean with a lingering fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky, and smooth texture. Moderate carbonation and a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth. Free from any harshness or astringency.
