An inviting Irish Red Ale that captures the festive spirit of La Rioja through its brilliant, intense reddish-copper hue. The aroma is defined by a moderate malt presence, showcasing special malts that contribute layers of toast, light caramel, and a hint of toffee. These sweet, malty notes are expertly balanced by the clean bitterness and subtle earthy character of locally grown Riojan hops. On the palate, a soft initial sweetness transitions into a grainy, biscuity mid-palate, concluding with a characteristically dry finish featuring a touch of roasted grain. It is a smooth, seductive pint that balances regional Spanish ingredients with traditional structure.
Appearance. Intense and brilliant reddish-copper color (12–14 SRM). Displays excellent clarity with a moderate, off-white to light tan head that shows average persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate malt intensity featuring aromas of toasted bread and light caramel sweetness. Very low earthy and floral hop notes from Riojan hops are present. The fermentation profile is clean with no significant esters.
Taste. Initial impression of soft caramel and toffee malt sweetness. The palate evolves into a neutral to grainy character with biscuity notes. Bitterness is medium-low but provides a firm balance to the malt. The finish is medium-dry with a distinct, light taste of roasted grain providing a crisp aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, well-rounded texture. Moderate carbonation provides a gentle prickle on the tongue. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated.
