This American IPA evokes the forest with its bold, resinous character. A carefully selected malt bill of Pilsner and Munich malts provides a foundational golden-honey hue and a whisper of bready sweetness, perfectly tempering the assertive hop presence. Aromas of crushed citrus and vibrant grapefruit zest arise from the heavy use of Amarillo and Centennial hops. The palate is dominated by a deep, nostalgic pine-like bitterness, a signature of Simcoe hops, which lingers through a clean, dry finish. It is a masterful balance of old-school intensity and modern refinement, capturing the quintessential spirit of the West Coast style.
Appearance. Medium gold to light amber (6-9 SRM). Clear with a medium-sized, white to off-white head characterized by good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent resinous pine, pithy grapefruit, and floral notes. Low, clean, grainy-sweet maltiness provides a supportive base with a hint of toasted character. Fermentation profile is clean with no significant esters.
