Fresh Bois offers a sensory evolution of the classic American Light Lager, elevating a crisp, lean profile with the seasonal intensity of fresh-picked hops. A bright aromatic burst of fresh Citra hop cones delivers vivid layers of mango, honeydew, and zesty citrus, while Adeena hops contribute a nuanced lemongrass undertone. Despite this aromatic complexity, the beer retains its essential crispy nature with a pale, brilliant appearance and a very light body. It finishes bone-dry and remarkably clean, balancing delicate grainy malt notes against a refreshing, hop-forward snap that defines its modern, vibrant character.
Appearance. Very pale straw (approx. 2-3 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a white, frothy head that has moderate to low retention, leaving minimal lacing.
Aroma. High aromatic intensity for the style, dominated by fresh hop character. Prominent notes of mango, honeydew melon, and bright citrus zest from Citra dry-hopping are complemented by a subtle lemongrass and herbal spice from Adeena hops. Very low grainy-sweet malt aroma; fermentation is exceptionally clean with no esters or diacetyl.
Taste. The palate is remarkably crisp and dry. Initial impressions of very low grainy malt sweetness are quickly overtaken by vibrant hop flavors of lemon, tropical fruit, and lemongrass. Hop bitterness is low but distinct, providing more presence than a standard light lager. The finish is short, clean, and refreshing, with a lingering hint of citrus zest and a bone-dry snap.
Mouthfeel. Very light body with a crisp, refreshing texture. High carbonation provides a lively carbonic bite on the tongue. Alcohol warmth is non-existent, and there is no perceived astringency despite the heavy dry-hopping.
