Supporting this verdant profile is a clean, grainy backbone derived from Skagit Valley Malting’s Fritz Ale malt, providing a light bready foundation that balances the lupulin-forward intensity. The palate mirrors the nose with crisp citrus and resinous pine, finishing with a firm but smooth bitterness that cleanses the palate. Appearance. Deep gold to pale amber (6–8 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a moderately large, persistent white head that leaves fine-textured lacing.
Aroma. Moderately high intensity. Dominated by fresh, green floral notes and bright lemon-lime citrus from Centennial hops, backed by a resinous pine undertone from Chinook. A low, clean grainy-sweet maltiness from Fritz Ale malt provides a neutral, bready support.
Taste. Initial impression is bright and citrusy with lemon zest and lime pith. Moderate to high hop bitterness is well-integrated. The Fritz Ale malt offers a supportive, slightly toasted grain character without sweetness. Finishes dry and clean with lingering floral and piney resin notes.
