Tiny Paradise is a vibrant Imperial Wild Specialty Beer that masterfully recreates the sensory experience of a Mai Tai. An assertive lactic tartness is immediately softened by the silky addition of lactose, creating a lush foundation for bright bursts of lime and orange. The inclusion of almond provides a sophisticated marzipan-like depth, while vanilla rounds out the mid-palate with a tropical creaminess. Time spent on toasted French oak lends a subtle structure and a whisper of spice, elevating the cocktail-inspired profile. At 8% ABV, it offers a refined warmth that supports the dense, fruit-forward flavors, delivering an evocative and refreshing sensory escape.
Appearance. Pours a hazy, golden-amber with a slight orange hue (SRM 6-8). The off-white head is moderately thick with fair retention, leaving light lacing as it recedes.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics of fresh lime zest and sweet orange juice. Distinct notes of almond and marzipan merge with aromatic vanilla and a faint toasted oak character. Low funky esters are present, overshadowed by a clean, sharp lactic acidity.
Taste. Initial impression is a bold, citrusy tartness dominated by lime and orange. The mid-palate introduces a creamy sweetness from lactose and vanilla, which balances the acidity. Almond provides a nutty complexity that persists into the finish. Hop bitterness is very low, allowing the toasted French oak to provide a dry, slightly tannic contrast to the lingering fruity sweetness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable creaminess and smooth texture. Carbonation is moderate, providing enough lift to prevent the 8% ABV from feeling heavy. A gentle alcohol warmth is present, accompanied by a very light wood-derived astringency.
