Main Street Magic is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases a unique base of Pilsner malt, providing a crisp, grainy backbone to support intense hop saturation. The aroma bursts with a tropical medley of stone fruit, citrus, and mango, characteristic of New World varieties. On the palate, the experience is notably soft and smooth, with the Pilsner malt offering a cleaner, more delicate sweetness than typical high-protein grists. This lightness enhances the drinkability, leading to a gentle, fruit-forward finish with a well-restrained bitterness. It represents a refined, bright interpretation of the style with a luminous, hazy glow and a pillowy mouthfeel.
Appearance. Straw to light gold (4-5 SRM) with a dense, opaque haze providing a soft shine. Topped with a thick, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity with prominent notes of tropical fruit, ripe peach, and zesty citrus. The malt profile is distinctly grainy and lightly bready due to the Pilsner malt base, remaining clean and neutral without any caramel or toast influence. Minimal neutral fermentation esters.
Taste. Explodes with high fruity hop flavors including mango, orange peel, and apricot. The malt flavor is low but supportive, featuring a delicate, honey-like graininess from the Pilsner malt. Bitterness is low-moderate, serving only to balance the soft, off-dry finish without any harshness or sharp hop character in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a remarkably soft, pillowy texture and smooth delivery. Moderate carbonation provides a gentle lift. Alcohol warmth is light and well-integrated. No astringency, harshness, or raw starchiness.
