This Experimental Mead, a collaboration between Marlobobo and Omnipollo, presents a decadent and highly saturated sensory experience. It opens with an intense, jammy profile of wild blueberry supported by the deep, floral sweetness of forest honey. The addition of Sri Lankan coconut introduces a rich, tropical creaminess, while Ugandan vanilla beans provide a luxurious, marshmallow-like depth. Aging in Aquavit barrels imparts a sophisticated herbal counterpoint, layering notes of caraway and anise over the dark fruit. Viscous and lush, the profile balances massive sweetness with the natural acidity of the berries and a warming, well-integrated alcohol presence that defines its bold, modern character.

Appearance. Deep, opaque midnight purple to near-black with intense violet staining on the glass. Still or with a very fine, fleeting ring of purple-tinted bubbles; high viscosity creates thick, slow-moving legs.

Aroma. High intensity with a complex layering of jammy wild blueberry, floral honey, and toasted coconut. Deep, spicy Ugandan vanilla beans provide a rich aromatic anchor, while the Aquavit barrels contribute distinct notes of caraway, fennel, and light oak.

Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of sweet, tart wild blueberry and dense honey. The mid-palate is dominated by creamy Sri Lankan coconut and the dark, floral spice of vanilla.
