Maresme Brewery celebrates seven years with Se7, a vibrant Hazy IPA that prioritizes a lush, fruit-forward profile. The heavy dry-hop addition of Krush and Citra creates a saturated sensory experience, delivering concentrated notes of ripe mango, guava, and sweet peach driven by the Krush variety, alongside bright bursts of lime and grapefruit from the Citra. Its appearance is characterized by a luminous, opaque haze and a persistent white head. The palate is soft and pillowy, showcasing tropical depth while maintaining a restrained bitterness that highlights the juicy character. This anniversary release concludes with a smooth, clean, and refreshing finish.
Appearance. Straw to pale gold (4-6 SRM). Opaque, hazy appearance with a soft shine. Thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring a tropical medley of mango and guava and stone fruit notes of peach from the Krush hops, complemented by Citra's citrus-forward notes of grapefruit and lime. Background malt is neutral, clean, and lightly grainy with no caramel; fermentation is clean with supportive fruity esters.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with tropical fruit, peach, and citrus zest. Low to moderate bitterness that is perceived as soft and well-integrated. Low malt flavor provides a simple bready base. The finish is off-dry and smooth, showcasing a lingering fruitiness without any sharp or harsh hop burn.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, pillowy, and smooth texture. Moderate carbonation. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth; no astringency or raw starch character.
