Pouring with a distinct, opaque glow, it immediately releases an intense bouquet of tropical fruit and bright citrus notes. The palate is defined by a soft, plush texture that balances the 6% ABV with a smooth, almost velvety delivery. Eschewing the sharp bitterness of traditional West Coast variants, this expression focuses on hop-derived depth, offering layers of mango and pineapple over a neutral, grainy malt base. Its finish is remarkably clean and off-dry, leaving a lingering essence of sun-ripened fruit without any harshness or astringency.
Appearance. Straw to light amber (3–7 SRM) with an opaque, hazy clarity that provides a characteristic shine. Features a medium, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.
Aroma. Intense hop-forward aroma dominated by tropical fruit (mango, passion fruit) and bright citrus (orange, grapefruit). Supported by a low, clean, grainy, and lightly bready malt character with a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. High to very high tropical and citrus hop flavors that mirror the aroma. Low to medium-high perceived bitterness that is well-masked by a soft malt backbone. The malt presents as light bread or dough. Finishes off-dry and smooth with a clean, fruity aftertaste devoid of harshness.
