Floraison is a bright and sessionable Saison that captures the essence of a traditional farmhouse pale ale. This collaboration between Marble and Farm Yard Brew Co delivers a vibrant sensory profile tailored for summer refreshment. The bouquet is defined by zesty citrus and delicate cracked pepper, driven by a characterful Belgian yeast strain and a thoughtful hop selection. On the palate, light, grainy malts provide a lean foundation for notes of lemon peel and rustic spice. Highly attenuated and effervescent, it finishes bone-dry with a cleansing bitterness and a crisp, refreshing snap that invites immediate another sip.
Appearance. Pale gold (4-5 SRM) with a slight haze consistent with its unfiltered farmhouse nature. Features a long-lasting, dense, rocky white head that leaves significant Belgian lace on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity featuring a mix of citrusy esters (lemon and orange) and spicy phenols resembling cracked black pepper. Low grainy malt character provides a rustic backdrop, complemented by floral and earthy hop notes.
Taste. Initial impression is crisp and highly refreshing. Malt flavor is low with a soft, grainy, cereal-like quality. Hop flavor is moderate, presenting as citrus zest and floral meadows. Bitterness is moderate but accentuated by a very high level of attenuation. The finish is bone-dry and clean with a lingering peppery and bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Light body with very high, effervescent carbonation. No perceived alcohol warmth. Crisp and mouth-watering with no astringency.
