This Imperial Stout offers a luxurious, multi-layered sensory experience. The aroma is dominated by rich, dark-roasted coffee and the distinct nuttiness of peanut butter, balanced by the vanilla and oak notes derived from Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. On the palate, a viscous, full-bodied sweetness from the milk stout base provides a velvety foundation for flavors of dark chocolate and espresso. The bourbon aging adds a sophisticated layer of charred oak and subtle caramel, while the peanut butter lingers into a smooth, warming finish. It is a complex, harmonious blend of roast, spirit, and creamy indulgence.

Appearance. Opaque, jet black (SRM 40+). It pours with a thick, dense, dark tan head that shows moderate retention. High viscosity is evident as the beer leaves distinct legs on the glass when swirled.

Aroma. High intensity. Bold layers of cold-brew coffee and roasted peanuts lead, followed by rich dark chocolate and black licorice. The bourbon barrel aging contributes strong notes of vanilla, toasted oak, and a hint of coconut. Low esters of dried plum and raisin are present; hop aroma is absent.

Taste. Intensely sweet and decadent initial impression, featuring milk chocolate and creamy peanut butter. Mid-palate, cold-brew coffee provides a roasty counterpoint with notes of espresso and bittersweet cocoa. Heaven Hill barrel influence offers caramel and charred wood. Bitterness is moderate, balanced by residual sweetness. The finish is long, tasting of roasted nuts and vanilla.

Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied and chewy with a luscious, velvety texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. A smooth, noticeable alcohol warmth is present and well-integrated, consistent with the high gravity and barrel aging.
