Malle The Sparkling Hop is a refined Belgian Golden Strong Ale defined by its effervescent, champagne-like character. Utilizing champagne yeast for secondary fermentation, it presents a delicate yet complex profile of pome fruits, notably pear, and a subtle peppery phenol presence. The nearly neutral malt base allows herbal and spicy hop notes to shine, while the high carbonation provides a crisp, lively mouthfeel. Though at 7% ABV it sits at the lighter end of the style, it retains the hallmark dryness and elegant bitterness, finishing with a clean, sophisticated sparkle that beautifully marries traditional Belgian brewing with sparkling wine elegance.

Appearance. Pale yellow to light gold (3–5 SRM). Brilliant clarity with vigorous, rising bubbles. Massive, rocky white head with exceptional retention and characteristic Belgian lace.

Aroma. High intensity bouquet featuring moderate pear and apple esters. Low to moderate herbal and floral hop notes over a neutral, slightly grainy-sweet malt base. Low peppery phenols and a soft, perfumy alcohol presence.

Taste. Initial crispness gives way to pear-like esters and light peppery alcohol. Moderate herbal hop flavor and a medium-high bitterness that is accentuated by the high attenuation. Grainy-sweet malt is supportive but minimal. Finishes very dry and clean with a long, lingering herbal aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Light to medium-light body, feeling lighter than the gravity suggests due to high attenuation. Very high carbonation; prickly and effervescent. Smooth, subtle alcohol warmth without any harshness.
