Malle Belgian IPA is a unique Specialty IPA that marries the vibrant yeast character of a Belgian ale with the surprising depth of dark malts. At 5.8% ABV, it presents a sensory profile defined by a moderate hop bitterness and a pronounced tropical fruit aroma. The sensory experience is lead by notes of mango and pineapple which clash pleasantly with a background of toasted bread and light chocolate. This atypical interpretation balances the spicy phenols of Belgian yeast against a clean, roasted malt backbone, resulting in a complex yet drinkable ale with a dry, lingering finish that highlights both fruit and roast.

Appearance. Dark brown to nearly black (35 SRM). Clear with a moderate-sized, persistent light tan head that provides decorative lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity hop aroma featuring tropical fruit and citrus. Very low malt character with hints of toast and light chocolate. Clean fermentation profile with subtle pear-like esters and a whisper of spicy phenols.

Taste. Initial impression of juicy tropical hops followed by low to medium malt flavors of toasted bread and restrained chocolate. Bitterness is moderate, balancing a dry finish. The aftertaste is clean with a light roast character that complements rather than clashes with the tropical hop oils. Low spicy yeast character is present throughout.

Mouthfeel. Smooth, medium body with medium carbonation. Very light alcohol warmth at 5.8% ABV. Lacks astringency or harshness from the darker malts.
