This Double IPA delivers an explosive sensory profile fueled by an intensive triple dry-hop addition. The aromatic lead is dominated by the tropical intensity of Galaxy and Mosaic, offering notes of passion fruit and blueberry, while Citra provides a sharp, citrusy counterpoint of grapefruit and lime. The addition of Sabro introduces a unique, creamy coconut and light mint complexity that rounds out the profile. The beer maintains a focused, lean malt character, ensuring the massive hop oils remain the focal point. It concludes with a firm, resinous bitterness and a clean, dry finish that emphasizes drinkability despite its potency.
Appearance.Deep gold to pale orange (7–9 SRM) with a slight hop-derived haze. Features a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma.High to intense hop aroma featuring pineapple, mango, and tangerine. Secondary notes of coconut and cedar from the Sabro are evident, supported by a very low, neutral, grainy malt background and clean fermentation.
Taste.Initial impression is a burst of tropical and citrus hop flavors including mango, lime, and blueberry. A firm, assertive bitterness (approx. 70-80 IBU) is present but smooth. Malt flavors are low and unobtrusive, providing just enough structure to support the hops. The finish is dry and crisp with a lingering resinous and fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel.Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture. Carbonation is medium-high, and there is a gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth without harshness or astringency.
