This Italian Grape Ale utilizes a rustic Saison base to showcase the unique profile of Pigato grapes, a high-altitude clone of Vermentino from Liguria. The sensory experience is a sophisticated interplay between the spicy, peppery esters of the yeast and the bright, mineral-driven acidity of the white grapes. The aroma leads with notes of ripe pear, apricot, and a hint of wild herb, supported by a lean malt backbone. On the palate, the vinous quality of the Pigato must shines, offering a crisp, bone-dry finish with delicate floral hop nuances. It is a refreshing, complex hybrid that balances farmhouse character with elegant viticulture.

Appearance. Deep gold to light copper. Effervescent white head with moderate retention and fine lacing. Generally clear to brilliant clarity.

Aroma. High intensity. Distinctive white grape notes of pear and peach are primary, followed by spicy yeast phenols including cracked black pepper. Low floral hop character and a restrained, crackery malt base.

Taste. Vibrant initial impression of vinous white fruit and citrus. Malt flavor is supportive and grainy, allowing the Pigato grape character to lead with notes of apricot and green apple. Hop bitterness is low. The finish is remarkably dry and clean with lingering spicy esters.
