Malandar Brewing

Malandar Graffiti is an expressive Double IPA that masterfully balances its high strength with an incredibly pale, hazy profile. The double dry-hopping process utilizes Mosaic and Citra to deliver punchy notes of mango and passionfruit, while Vic Secret and Chinook introduce nuanced layers of pineapple and a subtle, grounding resinous pine. Despite its significant 8.7% ABV, the beer remains remarkably smooth and balanced. The sensory experience is defined by a soft, fruit-forward palate and a clean finish that masks its intensity, offering a vibrant showcase of New World hop aromatics against a delicate, neutral malt backdrop.

Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (4-6 SRM). Pronounced haze with a thick, persistent, creamy white head that leaves dense lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring dominant notes of ripe mango, passionfruit, and apricot. Supporting scents of bright pineapple and a faint, spicy pine resin. Malt character is low, presenting as a neutral, grainy background. Fermentation profile is very clean.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit flavors. Notes of citrus zest, stone fruit, and pineapple are prominent throughout. Malt provides a soft, bready support without residual sweetness. Bitterness is firm but exceptionally smooth and well-integrated. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering, clean hoppy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, almost creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. A noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth is present, consistent with its strength, but remains well-integrated and free of harshness or astringency.
