This Double IPA is a singular celebration of Nelson Sauvin, presenting an intense sensory journey through a New Zealand hop garden. An immense dry-hop charge of 25g/L delivers saturated aromas of crushed white wine grapes, tart gooseberry, and vibrant passionfruit. The pale gold pour carries a lean, supportive malt backbone that stays out of the way, allowing the distinctive hop character to dominate. Despite its 8% ABV, the beer remains remarkably drinkable with a crisp, dry finish and a firm bitterness that cleanses the palate. It is a bold, hop-forward showcase of modern lupulin intensity.

Appearance. Pale gold to light amber (7 SRM). Topped by a persistent, creamy white head with excellent lacing. A slight haze is present, characteristic of the heavy dry-hop load.

Aroma. Intensity is high, dominated by Nelson Sauvin providing powerful notes of Sauvignon Blanc grapes, gooseberry, and tropical passionfruit. Very low grainy malt sweetness sits in the background. Fermentation is clean with no noticeable esters.

Taste. The initial impression is a burst of tropical and vinous hop flavor. Crushed grapes and melon lead into a firm, moderately high bitterness. Malt is soft and unobtrusive, resembling light crackers. The finish is dry and clean with a lingering resinous and fruity aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from the hop oils. Moderate carbonation. A soft, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but never harsh or solventy.
