Civilisation Equation is a vibrant Wild Specialty Beer that masterfully balances aggressive fruit additions with a creamy, dessert-like structure. The sensory experience is led by a lush, jammy Strawberry profile that intertwines with the zesty, tropical tang of Kiwi. Beneath this fruit-forward exterior, Vanilla and Lactose provide a smoothing, velvety counterpoint to the underlying lactic acidity and soft hop character. The resulting profile is a complex interplay of tartness and creamy sweetness, reminiscent of a fruit-laden pastry but grounded by the crispness of a Sour IPA. This unfiltered expression offers a bold, multifaceted journey through ripe fruit, aromatic spice, and bright fermentation character.

Appearance. SRM 5-7. Deep gold with a distinct pink-to-reddish hue from the strawberry. Unfiltered and unfined, presenting a heavy, opaque haze. The head is moderate in height, off-white with a faint rosy tint, showing fair retention and some lacing.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics featuring dominant notes of ripe, sun-drenched Strawberry and tropical, slightly acidic Kiwi. A distinct Vanilla sweetness provides a creamy aromatic lift, blending with a light lactic sourness and subtle tropical hop notes. Low malt presence with no toasted or caramel character.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tart Strawberry and tangy Kiwi fruitiness. The mid-palate introduces a creamy sweetness from the Lactose and Vanilla, which softens the acidity. Hop flavor is moderate, leaning toward citrus and tropical fruit. Bitterness is mild to moderate, providing enough structure to balance the fruit. The finish is clean and refreshing with a lingering creamy, fruit-tart aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a creamy, velvety texture enhanced by the lactose and unfiltered proteins. Carbonation is moderate. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated. Slight astringency from the fruit skins/kiwi acids is present but not harsh.
