Crafted in collaboration with Founders Brewing, Mahou Session IPA is a refreshing, hop-forward ale that prioritizes aromatic complexity within a sessionable framework. This dark golden beer displays a veiled appearance and a creamy, persistent head. The sensory profile is defined by an intense and complex bouquet of stone fruits and red currants, layered with bright citrus and resinous pine from extensive late and dry-hopping with American hop varieties. The strategic inclusion of oats adds a signature smoothness and specialized body that softens the moderate bitterness. It finishes clean and slightly persistent, emphasizing a floral and fresh character that balances its vibrant hop intensity.

Appearance. Dark golden color (approx. 8 SRM) with a veiled, hazy clarity. Features a thick, consistent, and persistent creamy off-white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of stone fruit, tart currants, and grapefruit citrus. Secondary layers of resinous pine and floral notes emerge over a very low, clean, grainy malt background.

Taste. Moderate to high hop flavor reflecting the aroma's notes of citrus, berry-like currants, and pine. Low, neutral bready malt provides a subtle foundation. Moderate bitterness is well-integrated and lacks harshness, leading to a dry, fresh, and slightly persistent finish with a lingering floral aftertaste.
