Magic Road

Sawa Sawa is a high-impact Double IPA that emphasizes a complex, modern hop profile. The aromatic experience is led by Talus, contributing distinctive notes of pink grapefruit, dried roses, and sage, while Mosaic Cryo intensifies the profile with concentrated blueberry and tropical stone fruit layers. Citra provides a bright, citrusy backbone of lime and orange zest. Despite its 8.1% ABV, the beer remains exceptionally drinkable with a lean malt profile that allows the assertive bitterness to shine. The experience concludes with a crisp, resinous finish and a lingering, clean hop presence that defines the style's bold character.

Appearance. Pours a deep gold to light copper (8-11 SRM) with a slight, modern haze. Features a moderate-sized, creamy white head with excellent persistence and substantial lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with prominent notes of pink grapefruit, tropical fruit, and a unique floral, rose-like quality from the Talus hops. Supported by Mosaic Cryo's berry and resinous depth and Citra's citrus zest. Clean, neutral malt and a very low, smooth alcohol note in the background.

Taste. Initial impression is a massive wave of hop flavor mirroring the citrus, floral, and tropical aroma. Bitterness is high (consistent with 60-100 IBU expectations) but remains clean and non-astringent. Low, grainy-sweet malt provides just enough support before a very dry finish with a long-lasting, resinous aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-bodied with a smooth, slightly oily hop texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a crisp bite. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present, reflecting the 8.1% ABV without being solventy.
