Magic Road

This Wild Specialty Beer presents a vivid, multi-layered sensory experience defined by its bold adjunct use. Ripe mango creates a dense, tropical foundation, delivering a pulpy sweetness that anchors the profile. This is sharply contrasted by the vibrant, acidic zip of calamansi, which introduces zesty notes of lime and tangerine. The addition of white chocolate rounds out the palate, contributing a velvety, vanilla-like richness that softens the edges of the wild fermentation’s lactic tartness. The result is a decadently balanced, smoothie-styled ale where fruit intensity and confectionary creaminess harmonize with a subtle, underlying funk.

Appearance. Deep golden-orange (12–15 SRM); opaque and smoothie-like with significant fruit solids. Pours with a thin, off-white to pale yellow head; poor retention and minimal lacing due to fruit oils and white chocolate fats.

Aroma. High intensity; dominant aromas of fresh, ripe mango nectar and sharp, zesty calamansi. Supporting notes of sweet cocoa butter and vanilla from the white chocolate. A clean lactic acidity is present, alongside a very low, earthy wild yeast character.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of sweet mango puree followed immediately by the bracing, citrusy tartness of calamansi. Low malt flavor and negligible hop bitterness. The mid-palate features a creamy, white chocolate sweetness that balances the sharp acidity. The finish is lingering and sweet-tart, with a clean lactic character and tropical fruit aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Full body with a thick, viscous, and pulpy texture. Moderate carbonation provides a necessary lift to the heavy mouthfeel. Low alcohol warmth; very creamy with no hop or fruit skin astringency.
