This Belgian-inspired Specialty IPA presents an exceptionally dry, effervescent character typical of the Brut style. A vibrant marriage of American hop aromatics—bursting with tropical fruit and citrus—is layered over a sophisticated Belgian yeast profile of spicy phenols and fruity esters. At 7.2% ABV, the beer remains remarkably drinkable thanks to a bone-dry finish and a minimal malt presence. The sensory experience is defined by its crisp, champagne-like carbonation and a lean, elegant structure that allows the interplay between New World hops and traditional continental fermentation to take center stage, finishing clean with a lingering fruity brightness.
Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (3-5 SRM). Brilliant clarity. Persistent, mousse-like white head with fine beads and excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Bright American hop notes of grapefruit, passionfruit, and mango dominate. Secondary notes include Belgian-derived esters of pear and red apple, with a faint, peppery phenolic spice. Very low bready malt aroma.
Taste. Initial impression is remarkably lean and dry. Vibrant hop flavors of citrus zest and tropical fruit mirror the aroma. Distinctive Belgian yeast character adds complexity with stone fruit esters and a hint of clove. Bitterness is moderate but crisp, never harsh. Finishes bone-dry with a lingering hop sparkle and no residual sweetness.
Mouthfeel. Very light body with a crisp, thin texture. High, spritzy carbonation provides a champagne-like effervescence. Subtle alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, enhancing the dry finish without being hot.
